Hair? Colour or Perm? Suggestions?

Hi,

Im getting my hair done in Febuary, and i have a choice of a colour or perm. I sorta want a perm, i mean, just a light one - you know, either very lose curls or just waves cos i sorta go for the messy look nowadays. But im scared it'll go wrong! If i got colour, which? Highlights? Can you describer the perfect look?

I dont do my hair/make up like in the pics anymore, im more emo/indie now...well usually...ohh and my hairs longer now!

Ideas?

I think a perm with big waves would look super cute on you. The only thing about perms is that you should go in for an assessment first. Make sure to find a photo of exactly how you want your perm to look, so that they can replicate it as close as possible. Nothing is worse than describing what you want and having your hair come out different because of communication problems.

Also, a lot of times they might ask you to grow out your hair if its been dyed in the past because if they perm coloured hair, it may not be able to handle the harsh chemicals, which would cause hair damage and breakage.

go with a perm, your hair lacks volume. you should go with a wave perm, definately not a spiral perm. maybe something like this.

Don't get a perm, you will probably end up regretting it.

If you want a "messy" look than ask for layers.

You probably can do any color highlight. The common one is blonde, but maybe you should go for darker, richer colors.
