I just learned that people who wear all black, listen to heavy metal, have unusual piercings, and die their hair in an unusual way, are called EMO = Emotional. WTF! That makes no sense at all and is the stupidest shiiTT I've ever heard. Don't we all have emotions? I mean, emotions are that all humans have built-in. Fucckk!! I just can't stand the ignorance. Why not just call 'em "rockers" or something that makes more sense? What do you think?!

yeap, Its really ignorant. But its just a word, don't take it so personal. People are always trying to stereotype other people, I guess its just another part of what makes the world go round :) But don't worry your not alone, I feel the same way.

thats probably true for most however the ones I've met wow I have felt their emotions and its so strong it'll almost knock you down.

I agree. Everyone has emotions. Is it wrong if they show their emotions more than anyone else? Hell naw. People just like putting labels on others.

Emo is actually short for emotive music, and used to mean nothing more than emotionally charged punk rock.

Yes, everyone has emotions, but some people are more emotional than others, and like to express it.

Not all emo people are whiny, depressed-acting attention-cutters. I'm technically emo, and it's based on the fact that I like emotional music, wearing black, have the "hairstyle," etc. But people have turned it into an insult, which is why you hear it everywhere but idiots that really don't have a clue what it means (or know what it means and just don't like it).
