Hi there, i always see people with spiky hair, but the hair is completely dry. I use wax or matte head but that doesnt always leave it looking completely dry and straight, as my hair has a natural curl to it. Therefore i asked and somebody mentioned that their hair was straightened, which i think i'd need to do. However im a boy and straighteners are foreign to me. Any tips and ideas? Thanks.

lots of guys at my school straighten their hair, more guys than girls and thats not even a joke!! you get special hair straighteners that have slim plates so are better for guys or girls with shorter hair, as large plates can be awkward if your hairs not atleast shoulder length. an example of these would be ghd, they are widely considered the best hair straighteners, but are pretty expensive. im sure there are other slim plated hair straighteners though. remember and use conditioner when you shower though, guys with split ends is so not good!!!

i'd suggest that to get that hair a straightner is a must. It isn't that hard to do, by one for about $40 and heat it up and then clamp your hair and drag down. You can get one at CVS or Walgreen's or something. Also you can just experiment with the wax you have, just be different ;]
