she is most deffinatly NOT a poser.. its jsut the look she likes.. just like u like the preppy look or whatever your into jsut because its more common doesnt mean its the "right" look.. anyways to answer your question dont get scene and emo mixed up.. scene is when you have like choppy layers with a buncha different colors but emo doesnt have all those big huge layers.. black would be a very good choice to color your hair or a very dark brown.. get side bangs to cover up one of your eyes and alwyas wear your hair down.. theres lotsa pictures of scene or emo hairstyles.. go to photobucket.

long strips in the front, covering the eyes. The hair should be black but it can be black with different colors or a wild color entirely.
In the back it should be medium length, and have wacky colored high lights.
