get a pixie cut- like the one rihanna just got for the grammy's. google it. there are SO many emo things or other things you could do to piecy pixie hair. headbands, clips, different parts, etc. it takes a short time to style, and it really stands out as unique, especially with side bangs.

tell you mom you like it because it is stylish and way better than hairstyles you could have wanted instead. if she still doesn't like it, do it anyway. she can't make you grow it back, and it's your hair, not hers. she doesn't have to wear it.

i had the same sort of scenario, and one day i just took the scissors and had my way- and i've never been argued with about my hair since.
